Press Release - 10 November 2008
Twenty appointed to NZ Wine Cellars account
Direct agency Twenty has been appointed to the NZ Wine Cellars account without a pitch. The agency's initial task is a review of the NZ Wine Society brand, which will result in a new visual identity for New Zealand's largest direct wine retailer. They have also started work on an online acquisition campaign due to launch imminently. New Zealand Wine Cellars is the biggest and longest standing wine retail business of its kind in NZ. Besides the NZ Wine Society brand, they also operate wine clubs for American Express among others. Andrea Galbraith, GM of NZ Wine Cellars and Nicole Lees, Marketing Manager, appointed the agency on the basis of fit. "We spoke to several agencies, but it was the combination of business understanding and direct marketing expertise that pushed the decision Twenty's way" says Nicole.
Twenty are obviously delighted at the win. As a direct retailer, the NZ Wine Cellars business is operating in core territory for the agency. "There are lots of opportunities for us to add value for Nicole and the team, so we're relishing the challenge and look forward to seeing some great results from the work."
